Hey Dr. Kilstein,

Happy New Year to you!

I immediately jumped to this site as soon as I got the email notification.

I believe this is going to be GREAT stuff!

Now let's see what we've learned so far...

(Day 2 assignment:Start paying attention to incongruity in communication)

Hmmm...

Ok, its about 6:35pm EST at the time of this posting, and based on your last 20 seconds, I was looking forward to "seeing" at much earlier time today.

Dunno, if I'm getting ahead of myself here, since there's still about 5 hours left today.

Would pointing out the aforementioned observation be "stretching" the definition of incongruity we supposed to be on the look out for? ;)

I'm pulling your leg Harlan! :D

I know you're quite a busy man and highly paid business owner, whom I follow RELIGIOUSLY, albeit behind the scenes.

All the same, I look forward to Day 3 (Jan 3)

Keep up the great work buddy!

Phil.

P.S. - Oh by the way! Everyone knows - or should know - that video recording these posts is(was) done over a couple of sessions, sometimes on the same day.

Nevertheless, it may help us better if you keep of change of SHIRTS next to the camera man! :)

So that when you say "see you tomorrow", one would "think" you've ACTUALLY recorded day 1 stuff...gone to bed...woken up...taken a shower...and changed clothes. :) :) :)

That way, your "see you tomorrow" (verbally) is congruent with your non-verbal (changed shirt...at least what the camera can see ;) )

You know what, I'm starting to think I'm REALLY getting this incongruity stuff WRONG and getting out of wack!

HELP!

P.P.S. - I'm refreshing the site on another tab so I'm posting while you're actually posting Day 3, wearing a different shirt :) :) :)

Harlan,

Incongruous messaging seems to come naturally to some people.

I've had copywriting clients that had conflicting copy and couldn't spot it. When I pointed it out, they still required an explanation before getting it.

As someone that hasn't studied NLP I'm thankful you're doing this.

So far, really good stuff.
